Mechanic / Accessory Fitter - Turnbull Toyota Sale

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mechanic / Accessory Fitter to join our friendly team at the Sale Dealership.

This position would suit someone who has mechanical qualifications with the desire to go above and beyond. 

The position is full time.

To be considered for this excellent opportunity you will need to come with the following attributes:

  • Strong fault finding and repair skills.

  • Strong problem solving skills and a keen eye for detail.

  • Providing expert advice in relation to current mechanical condition of vehicles.

  • Taking all necessary steps to diagnose and to ensure the correct operation of vehicles sold under dealer warranty including the dismantling and reconstruction or replacement of faulty components.

  • Repairing the mechanical parts of the motor vehicles, such as the engine transmission and the suspension systems on predominantly Toyota vehicles.

  • Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs to service manager and record using in-house databases reporting systems.

  • Being able to fit genuine and after-market accessories to new and used vehicles, to include but not limited to electrical installation work.

  • Ordering parts needed as part of warranty service.

  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relation to dealer product range.

  • Maintaining a safe working environment through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment.

  • Test driving and  final assessments prior to the delivery or return of vehicles to guests.

  • Demonstrate behaviours that align with company policies and organisational values.

  • To be able to prioritise work with the Workshop Foreman / Service Manager to meet delivery times.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Must possess industry level certification to operations as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic in relevant state, territory or jurisdiction.
  • Developed knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Perform duties to industry standards and adhere to Occupational Health & Safety standards as stipulated by Turnbull Toyota.
  • Ability to work productively in an autonomous environment.
  • Keen eye for detail & display preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task where required.
  • Highly motivated and contribute to building a positive team spirit.
  • A friendly and approachable personality.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications / Experience / Technical Aptitude:

  • Post trade experience in a similar role.
  • Additional qualifications in the automotive / mechanical field.
  • Additional licences would be an advantage (Air conditioning, Roadworthy).
  • Toyota experience.

New / Used Car Sales Consultant  - Turnbull Toyota Sale

We currently have a vacancy at our Sale Dealership for a New / Used Car Sales Consultant to join our friendly team.

Reports To: New / Used Car Sales Manager & General Sales Manager

Purpose / Main Area of Responsibilities:

We are looking to expand our experienced team of New / Used Car Sales Consultants at our Sale Dealership.

The main focus of the New / Used Car Sales Consultant is to be the face of the Company and working with guests, while ensuring complete guest satisfaction.

Key Job Functions & Accountabilities:

The New / Used Car Sales Consultant carries out a range of duties related to the selling of new and used vehicles, including:

  • Maintaining a high knowledge level about Toyota vehicles and products.
  • Ability to understand cost benefits reasoning analysis among product range and communicate to clients.
  • Understanding the guests objectives, buying criteria and decision making processes.
  • Forming long term business partnerships with guests in order to leverage future transactions / purchases.
  • Identifying and exceeding the needs of guests by providing in-depth advice and service.
  • Assisting in the selection and purchase process of a new / used vehicle.
  • Identifying and gaining new business through a sustained program of guest contact, mailing, following up referrals / leads and keeping abreast of competitors strategies.
  • Conducting product demonstrations (as needed) and co-ordinating the preparation of product delivery ensuring specific deal agreements (extras / options) are completed.
  • Demonstrating behaviours that align with company policies, organisational values and The Toyota Way.

Essential Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

Minimum 2 years experience in a sales role with a proven sales record (previous automotive sales experience is not essential).

  • Current and valid driver's license and the ability to drive manual transmission.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with guests resulting in sales.
  • Ambition to succeed.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Well-developed guest service skills.
  • Ability to profile guest needs.
  • Ability to self-manage performance, through taking Initiative, results orientation, decisiveness and thoroughness.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Excellent telephone technique.
