Community Support at Turnbull Toyota

Looking After the Locals

Supporting our Local Community for over 50 years.

Turnbull Toyota support rural life, our rural community and rural people. As a local business, we have always believed in strengthening our local schools, non-profit organisations and opportunities for our youths. What is important to you, is important to us.

L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program

The VicRoads L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program assists learners under 21 years of age, who do not have access to a supervising driver or vehicle, to gain the 120 hours of driving experience required to apply for a probationary licence.

Young people are matched with full licensed volunteer mentors and have access to a sponsored vehicle, which they can use to get supervised driving experience.

Turnbull Toyota are proud vehicle sponsors of the Wellington / East Gippsland L2P Learner Drive Mentor Program, delivered by Mission Australia.

The program is free for eligible young people. For more information, contact the L2P Coordinator at Mission Australia on 03 5152 3654.

Junior Football Clubs Social Training Night

Junior Football Clubs Social Training Night

As part of the Toyota 'Good for Footy' Rural Dealer of the Round program, Turnbull Toyota hosted a social Junior Football Training Night for the Sale & District Junior Football Association.

Hosted at the Sale Junior Football Club's ground, over 160 junior football players attended. Clubs who attended included; Stratford U10’s & U12’s, College U10’s & U12’s, Woodside U12’s, Sale U10’s & U12’s, Maffra U10’s and Sale City U12’s.

Training drills were run on the ground by AFL Gippsland, and teams rotated through the stations with everyone having a chance to be coached by Collingwood legend, Peter Daicos.

Everyone then enjoyed a pie night, with delicious Four’n Twenty pies supplied by local manufacturer Patties. A Q&A session with a chance for lots of photos and autographs followed.

It was a fantastic turn out on the night and thoroughly enjoyed by all kids, coaches and parents. With great feedback from the clubs involved, we are looking forward to hosting the event again next year, with plans to make this an annual ‘season opening’ social event to welcome all of the SDJFA players and clubs to the new season.
